FINALLY feeling better..

Last time I updated was last sunday, and I was feeling sick again. Well, I wasn't wrong. I was really sick. February and even late January has been so shitty for me health wise. I feel like i've been sick 70% of the year. First I was getting those bad headaches. Then it turned into a bad cold. Then a bad flu. Then back to a bad cold. FINALLY i'm not stuffy any more and i'm pretty much feeling better. I have had some trouble sleeping the past two nights. My house is really dry..so my skin is drying up and my lips are cracking, etc. Kinda gross. It's also really hard to breathe when its dry and the heat is always blowing directly into my face because of where my bed is in relation to the air vent. Kinda sucks.

Not much else is new with me. Still overly obsessed with Rob Dyrdek. I bought a shirt from the dyrdek collection yesterday, haha. And Fantasy Factory season 1 is on its way to my house...hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Then I gotta get Rob and Big season 3. I can't wait to watch the whole thing and watch with commentary. Its awesome with the commentary because you are basically watching it with the stars/producers and you can hear their reactions and see what went on that the cameras didn't catch. I love it.

Jeff Tremaine, the executive producer, that guy is a genius. He must be making good bank. I watched the "Where are they now" jackass episode last night, which was really taped in 07, but still a good amount of time after all the jackass stuff. It was pretty interesting. I can't believe I've only met Bam and Ryan Dunn from that show. I've always wanted to meet Johnny Knoxville, obviously, and I'd love to see steveo and chris pontius.

But back to Jeff Tremaine. He explained how he saw some of the old CKY videos and thought it would make a good show to film dudes just doing stupid shit. He called up johnny knoxville and told him he wanted to make a pilot episode of this show, and they got some of th CKY guys to do it (Bam and Dunn), and then they pitched it to different networks and MTV took it. Now..jackass is a huge phenomenon that will always be remembered. I personally think that show is hilarious. I know its not a common show for a girl to love, but I have always loved it. Jackass milked it for all they could and did the show, Jackass the movie, Jackass 2 and I believe there is a jackass 2.5. I own all of them, haha. I also own the series on DVD. Then, I think they released some skits that were never before seen, and after that was done they moved on to Wildboyz (which I never really got too into, but I did watch a few episodes). Then, the brilliance which was Viva La Bam. I loved that show. I was so bummed when it was over. The show was just so hilarious. Everything has to end though, and Bam since has grown up a lot. He is married now and pretty much staying out of the spotlight. He did release a book of his journals which I bought and love. It's awesome.

Viva La Bam had the four core guys as cast members, Bam, Dunn, Rake and Raab. Then obviously Vito and Phil and April. I heard somewhere that Bam and Raab don't talk anymore and that makes me pretty sad. They've been best friends forever. I wonder what happened? even on the Viva La Bam spring break show where they all got together again to go to south beach after the show wrapped, Raab didn't go. I wonder what he is up to now. I haven't seen anything about him in a long time.

Anyways, I kind of forgot where I was going with this. Oh yeah, Jeff Tremaine. After viva la bam, Bam had that Unholy Union show where him and Missy planned their wedding. Actually, I keep meaning to buy that DVD. I haven't seen all those episodes and I would like to. Again, it will probably bum me out that Raab doesn't go to the wedding. So back to Tremaine, he is behind ALL of these shows. Then he got behind Rob and Big and now fantasy factory. The dude really has an awesome career. And he seems pretty down to earth and funny too. Maybe I will meet him one day.

It's funny, when I was really young, maybe 3rd or 4th grade, I always had a think for skater boys. This was before I ever saw Jackass or anything. Then I fell in love with Bam. Now Dyrdek. I wonder if those two ever met? I'm sure they have. I would love to see footage of it. I know Bam is good friends with a lot of other pro skateboarders, but I don't think him and Rob Dyrdek are friends. I know Dyrdek is buddies with Steve Berra and Eric Koston and them, who I've seen hang with Bam before. I dunno. I would LOVE to see Bam and Rob meet. Maybe have a skate off. I wonder who is better? I think they are pretty close...I always thought Bam was an amazing skater, and he still is. But watching Rob Dyrdek skate..he is CRAZY good. Those two guys are similar, but also so different. Rob has more of a personality that EVERYONE likes. He seems like the kinda guy who makes friends wherever he goes. Bam has the "I don't give a fuck" attitude. I'm sure bam is perfectly nice. Actually, I know he is because i've met him. But Rob Dyrdek just seems to be incredibly sweet and caring.

Skateboarding is just a talent you have to respect. It's not an easy sport whatsoever. Those guys get injured ALL the time and it takes a LOT of discipline to become as good as they are. I think one of the reasons I love skateboarders in general is their laid back outlook on life. I don't think you could meet an uptight skateboarder. They are all so chill. I love that.

I NEED to meet Rob Dyrdek. I keep bumming myself out. I mapquested it and realized I was 7 minuets away from the factory at one point on my LA trip. Why didn't we just go out there? WTF? I'm such a dumbass. We did go to the Rob and Big house. That was so exciting for me, even though he doesn't live there anymore, haha. I think he still owns the place..he would be silly to sell it since it has all the murals and personalized touches. But I believe he moved about 15 minutes away, still up in the hills. I have the address. I'm bummed we didn't drive by there too.

I am missing LA like crazy right now. Pretty much everything about it. Here, I get so bored sometimes. In LA, I wouldn't be bored. Whenever I had downtime I could just go for a drive and see who I see. It would be so fun. Though, I think the novelty would wear off if I lived there. It wouldn't be as exciting to meet celebrities. Though I would have a much better chance at meeting dyrdek if I was there right now. He NEEDS to come to the midwest sometime this summer. He just has to. And I will go. I just wanna see him in person, get a picture with him. Maybe talk to him for a minute or two. A meet and greet would kinda suck because those are so impersonal, but I would still go for it. I'd do anything at this point to get to meet him. Crazy, huh? I've met freakin Tom Cruise and to me thats nothing compared to Rob Dyrdek.

I'm such a loser. haha. But at least when I love something, I go all out for it. *Nsync, Friends, Bam, now Rob Dyrdek. The Bam and Dyrdek obsessions are nothing compared to the *nsync and friends ones. But who knows...I still have time for the dyrdek one to grow. There have also been other small ones in there. Jason Bateman. I went through a TINY ashton kutcher phase. There was a few months of Jake Gyllenhaal. Haha.

Feelin Sick..what else is new?

I have a cold. It seems like there has been something wrong with me all of February. It started with the flu. Then I've been having those horrible headaches. Now..a cold. It's not HORRIBLE, but I'm super stuffy which makes it reallly difficult to sleep at night. I've tried nose spray, which does clear it up for me, but it makes my nose burn like crazy. It's a double edge sword I guess. I have to deal with a burning nose if I want to sleep at night. On top of that, I woke up with a sore throat and my headaches haven't really been letting up. I also haven't gotten much sleep the past few nights which is probably not helping. I couldn't fall asleep friday night because of the stuffiness, so I didn't actually get to bed until about 5am. Then I had to be up at 8am to get my room ready for the comcast guy. (Comcast RULES, btw). So i was up all day yesterday with the dude installing it and then I was playing around with it last night. I fell asleep around 12 and had to be up for work this morning. I am going to TRY and nap today but I know I will be really tempted to play with the new cable. Also, since I've gotten my new ps3 controller i've been wanting to play rainbow 6 ALL the time. It might actually be a cause of my headache, staring at the high def tv so much, but I love the game, lol. It's hard not to start a game when you see a room that is 13/14 full playing team deathmatch. I gotta join it!

Anyways, about comcast...its...awesome. I didn't think I would really care too much about the difference, but man..it was totally worth it. The internet SEEMS faster, but when I tried to download something it was like 5x slower than it was with AT&T. I tried as soon as it was set up though, I suppose I should try again before being pissed about it.

The cable though...i'm in love. I FINALLY HAVE A DVR! YESSS! AND the On Demand is AMAZING! Any CBS, NBC, Fox show I missed they have on there for about 4 weeks after it airs! They also have music specials, music videos, FREE movies, a lot of pay per view movies, hollywood trivia, i dunno, it has EVERYTHING! And its cool to actually be able to watch TV in high definition.

Oh, on another note, I've lost 20lbs. I try not to really ever weigh myself, I hate doing it because when I see that Ive been working so hard to lose it and then I actually do weigh myself and see a difference of 3 or 4lbs, I get pissed and frustrated. It makes me not want to keep trying. I weighed myself before LA and I just weighed myself a few days ago and I've lost 20! That's crazy to me because in LA I didn't follow my no soda or chocolate rule at ALL. I had coke quite often and had lots of milkshakes and ate a good amount of Jack in the Box. I don't know how it happened, but I'm happy it did! Now I am more motivated to keep going, haha.

To celebrate my minor weight loss, I bought myself some presents, lol. I got Rob and Big seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. I love it. The special features are awesome. I really want to get season 3 but it's $35 right now and I don't have it. I also bought myself some Rob Dyrdek DC shoes. They should be coming any day now, I ordered them off the internet. I had my purple Bam Margera Adio shoes forever and i LOVED them. They were probably my first or second favorite pair that i've ever had. It was between them and my white/purple/pink/blue Vans, which I still have in my closet, but they are completely worn out. The Bam shoes...Mikey did a number on them when he was a puppy. He chewed the backs off of them, then I left them outside and he peed on them, haha. I still have them but I can't ever wear them.

The other night when I couldn't sleep, I decided to look online and see what kind of shoes Bam has out now. To my surprise, they don't make them anymore! Apparently his contract with Adio ended in 2008 and he hasn't renewed it and he hasn't signed with another shoe company. I looked on ebay but there weren't any in my size. I am a mens size 7 because i'm a womens size 8.5. I started looking at overstock websites, and I found a pair of Bam shoes for $13.99, in size 7! They are just plain black, but for 13.99? And they were marked down from $80! I got em, haha. I hope one day I will find those purple shoes somewhere. Someone's gotta still have a never before worn size 7, right? At this point I couldn't pay a lot for them, but if I had the money, I would shell out $100 for em easy. I LOOOVE those shoes. Only in purple though.

The dyrdek shoes I got were marked down to $44.00 from $75 so I got em. He has SO MANY STYLES out. Its so hard to pick, haha. There is a purple and black shoe, but it was $75 and they didn't have my size. I settled on the RD 1.5 model which is silver, white, black and turquoise. It says RD on the side, says Dyrdek on the inside and has his signature on the tounge of the shoe. I love it. There is one other Dyrdek shoe I would like to get sometime...i'm not sure of the exact model number but it comes in white and black and it has Dyrdek on it in the hollywood sign font. So cool. One day, haha.

It's really nice to have a tiny bit of money now that I am not putting every paycheck away for the trip. There are still some things I have on my list that I would like to purchase eventually, but I'm not in a rush.

Obviously, I am obsessing a tiny bit over Rob Dyrdek at the moment. I always have something that i'm in love with...it's been him for the past 3 or 4 months, haha. I'm not going to go out and buy a skateboard deck that says Dyrdek on it..not yet anyways. I bought the bam one and had the trucks and wheels put on and had my mini skateboarding accident so I'm not going to do that again, haha. It would be cool just to have a deck though..they are kind of expensive.

I also need to start putting some money away so I have it for a future trip or just so I have some put away if anything comes up that I would like to get. OH! John Mayer tickets! I desperately want John Mayer tickets. I don't know if its going to happen because the concert is pretty soon and I can't afford it right now. We'll see...maybe...haha

K, I'm going to get back to sitting here and waiting for it to be 12:30. I might actually leave a little earlier, if they don't need me anymore. I would like to attempt to nap today.

Soo much work..

I've been working a looot this weekend. Thankfully I have tomorrow off. I got really sick at work last night, i'm not exactly sure what was wrong. I had to work in the morning from 8:00am-12:30pm, then I had to go back at 4:30pm-10ish. I had a headache before going back to work for the night shift, but I didn't think much of it, i thought it would go away. As the night went on it got worse and worse, and at about 8:30pm i started throwing up. Yeah..it wasn't fun. I thought I could stick it out because the event was almost over, but at 9 i had to leave. I felt horrible about it, but my boss was really cool and understanding. the drive home was pretty bad...my head was spinning. I went to bed immediately and had to wake up at 7:45 this morning again for work. I woke up and was ok..no headache. I took a shower and went to work until 12:30pm, then I had to be back at 3:30pm. At like 3, i got a headache. AGAIN. It wasn't as unbearable as it was at work last night, but by 6:00 it was pretty bad. Thankfully the event was pretty short and I was able to go home. I watched a little bit of the Super Bowl but my head hurt so bad I had to sleep. I slept for a couple hours, woke up and the headache was gone. Now i'm awake...and its kind of half coming back. I probably need to get to bed soon. Maybe its lack of sleep? Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep tomorrow and this whole headache thing will go away.

On another note, I was watching Fantasy Factory on my laptop at work and i was cracking up. Yeah, i've seen the episode 2342 times but i still laugh out loud every time. I'm such a loser. I'm just glad no one was in the lobby because I'm pretty sure I would have looked like an idiot. I don't know why the whole Drama/Mannequin relationship makes me laugh so hard. And I laugh every time Rob Dyrdek starts laughing and can't stop. It's like his laugh is contagious to me. I just freakin love this show. I'm so pumped for season 3, haha. I get Drama and Rob's tweets texted to my phone and they keep tweeting pictures from the filming of season 3. I love it.

Speaking of tweets sent to my phone...they haven't been going through lately. I don't know if its twitter, or my phone, but its kinda pissing me off. I only get a handful of people who's tweets are supposed to be texted to me, but I've noticed in the past 2 or 3 days, they aren't coming through. I'll check twitter later and see that there were tons I didn't see. I DID download a new app for my phone for texting, i'm wondering if that is messing things up. I also downloaded a new IM app...it keeps me logged on to facebook chat and AIM at the same time. I'm not sure how i feel about having it. On one hand, i like being on chat all day because if there is someone I want/need to talk to and i'm not near a comp, its easy. On the other hand, I think it's a little much to be on ALL DAY. It's kind of unnecessary. And..I think one or both of these apps are screwing with my phone a little bit. It's a lot slower than it usually is. I'll click an icon and it will take a few seconds to load, when in the past i'd just click and it would be ready. I dunno, its not a huge deal, its just kind of a pain in the ass to have a slow phone.

Ok...i guess i should get to bed now, before my head starts to realllly hurt.

PS - The Puppy Bowl is so freakin cute. I forget its on every year, then I flip through channels and there it is. I love it.

Poor Katie...

I had to take Katie to the vet this morning...her toenail was split completely up to the top. She was licking it a lot and I knew if we didn't do something it would fall off and bleed all over the place. I tried to take a look at it and she cried pretty bad, so the vet was the only option. We took her in and basically she wouldn't sit still with the local anesthesia. she needed to be completely knocked out. Poor baby...we just picked her up a little while ago and shes got a nice pink cast on her paw. Shes resting now, hopefully it doesn't hurt her too bad.

Other than that, not much is new with me. I've been working quite a bit. I started watching Entourage..i love it, haha. I finished the first season, i'm about to start the second. I have quite a bit of catching up to do with that show, what is it, in the 6th or 7th season? I'll get there, I was able to knock out 6 seasons of NCIS pretty quickly and those were hour long shows. Entourage is only 30 min. Also..i can't not watch Rob and Big and Fantasy Factory when its on. I can see the same episode over and over and over again and not get bored. I really REALLY gotta meet Rob Dyrdek. And Drama too. One day...
